Well, the starting issues Ive been having are fortunately behind me thanks to a new starter. My next project is to replace the front bench seat in my 94 F-350 crew cab. I would like to change to buckets in the front. Anyone have a good source? Thanks for a great forum. SLED.
I have a 40/20/40 split bench from a '97 HD in mine. The main seats are shaped like buckets with a fold down center console for the middle seat. It is very comfortable.
With the factory seat swap, the regular and crew cab seats will interchange, but the extended cab floor contour is different.
I just installed Bronco buckets/console into my truck (83' F350 reg cab) today. I had to drill the inside holes on both seats but it only took me about an hour for the entire job. Seats are very comfortable and the install required no fabrication other than a few holes and bolts. Turned out great.
One word of caution on this. Do not get seats that have integral seatbelts. The floors on these trucks are not strong enough to take the extra strain.
My seats came out of a late 70s chrysler cordoba. All I did was make a steel frame to bolt them to under the seats, then that frame bolted into the original mounts of the floor.
I just put a bench seat from an 86 centurian crewcab into my 89 f350.
The mounting locations were already marked under the truck. They were meant to be tapped from the inside with a tapping bolt, but seeing as I broke the other ones when removing them, I just drilled out the markers and installed my own bolts. Lined up and fit perfectly.
Much more comfortable then the crappy stock buckets. I sit up much higher(im kinda short) and actually feel like I should in a truck.
its grey but i am in wisconsin i was gonna put it in my new truck but the interior is red and it wouldnt look good it came out of my 94 f150 i am parting out

(The bench is also girl approved)
I agree with that girl approved line. I mentioned wanting bucket seats and she got mad at me.
