alright, not to sure on this, money comes first then gauges, probably might swipe a few off some of our trucks if i have to haha, anyways i have stacks, with stock exhaust kinda, did it myself, own a truck shop, and waste gate unplugged, also have 6637 air filter, when i wot in 5th gear all the way to max rpm, about 140ish or so i see a light, the engine light blink on, i shouldn't be getting that much boost stock? i have a 18k mod as well probably around 16k though, but it is like stock? i shouldn't throw a code or get 24-25 psi on my turbo to throw a code stock? any ideas? also after replacing my o rings in the hpop after a failure i tightened and re tightened a few days after my ic pipes and all boots/clamps.
thanks
dan
Stock you shouldn't get enough boost to defuel plus you would feel it lay down on you, the light would stay on for a little while also. See if you can get your codes read and see what it is.
It could be defueling a little. My truck has a 6637, unplugged w/g, and the exhaust ends under the bed. With the auto in 3rd gear and the T/C locked, I can hit about 26 psi on a slight incline. The SES light comes on for about a minute and goes back off. Sounds like a jet taking off!
well it will set the light at 26psi. and yes it will go off after about a minute or so. But it is setting a soft code that is why the light goes off. Pull the codes and see what code it is throwing and let is know
i did, awhile ago at the college after seeing it the first time, all that came up was my 18k mod code, this code i almost cant even catch it blinking sometimes like it flashes so fast, but its usually wot around 140km to 160km...
im just curious of what that engine light is that flashes on and off so quickly when its at wot around 140km the i forget my codes i wrote them down maybe i made a post about them, but ya
