EBPV Switch
"I did the EBPV brake tonight. Cut the plug that plugs into the valve off of the harness. The white wire with red tracer is hot. I wired that to a switch with power run to it and made a ground on the engine (picked a bolt) to hook the ground to. Start the truck turn on the switch and the brake works. Went down a steep hill tonight using TC lock and EBPV and the truck went down to 30. Just don't give it fuel unless in park with the valve on because then the back pressure psi will go through the roof. Use while costing or in park and can be on as long as you want".
I haven't done this mod yet, but plan to in the near future. It sounds simple enough.
One way the PCM controlled the EBPV, Center defeated the EBPV. Other way closed the EBPV.
Two weeks later the EBPV locked up and leaked like a seive. I gutted it and the switch while still hidden in the dash pocket is no longer used.
I am not sure if using the EBPV as a brake quickened its failure. It had been leaking a little but not too bad.
It would have been a really good idea on a manual tranny. On my auto, the T/C unlocking limited its usefulness.
