EGR Valve

Well My Check Engine Light just came on yesterday. Took it to the dealer and found out today that the EGR Valve is stuck open. They are ordering parts and it will be fixed next tuesday. Is this a big issue to be cooncerned with?? I haven't had any major issue with my truck and I am hoping that this is no need for concern.

Thanks,

no wouldn't think so. Do you do alot of idleing? These are not designed to idle more than a few minutes. Maybe that is why?

No, my idleing is very minimal! Actually they got it fixed yesterday and it is back up and running like a champ. The service advisor said that he hasn't seen but a handful of trucks with this problem. So hopefully it's just a fluke.

Thanks
