The title says it all. brought it home last week from work. I work and a salvage yard that buys totaled vehicles from insurance companys and when this bad boy came in i jumped on it.apparently the dude that wrecked it only had 30 day tags on it. it looks to me like he hit a stump be cause was covered with mud underneath. the frame was bent a little, kinda pushed up because the top of the fenders were pushed into the doors. so i took it to the frame shop and they pulled the frame, radiator support, and fixed the fenders for 600 bucks. it also needed a radaitor, airbags, windsheild and a bumper and thats it! i dont understand why they totaled it but im glad they did! haha. i paid 8000 for it including all the parts. does that sound pretty good. 63,800 miles and its also a lariat.
this is how she sits now i just gotta get the head board for the headleght assembly and put the grille back in
view from the back. its got a 4 inch lift with some 33s
heres what it looked like at first. sorry the picture s***s i forgot to take some good ones. if u look in the bottom corner u can see where it was hit. just the bottom of the bumper. hood and grille are fine. look closely and u can see how the frame is bent up.
Welcome to FTE!The main thing is if you are proud of it then that is all that matters.I bet you can get it dressed up and make you a great rig.Take your time and do the best you can the first go around then you can tinker with minor details.
hahaha thanks. yea i love the thing so much. i come home from work and just drive it up and down my 200 yard drive way for like 20 min. haha its going to s**k when im done fixing it because a DMV guy has to come and inspect it to change the title from salvage to clean and they said it can take 3-6 weeks! so i will just have to go up and down the drive way for a while haha

Looks like you got a good deal on a truck to fix up, the only bad thing about one of those is how everything was slammed forward depending on how hard he hit.
thats a sharp truck and will even look better when you get her all fixed up. Do it right the first time because if you dont you will be kicking yourself later. Great find. And welcome to FTE

yea i thought about that. the steering colum was pushed forward a little bit but i fixed that. the fan wasnt even rubbing the shroud so it wasnt realy that bad. i guess its a good that it was lifted because the frame is higher off the ground than stock.
