5R55E Transmission problems
I have a 2000 ford ranger with the 5R55E auto trans. and having shifting problems with 4th and 5th gear. DTC's P0734 and P0735 (incorrect gear ratio) have come up for the second time!! First time when transmission was rebuilt, and now, 2 years later! anyone have any suggestions?

IMO this transmission is a sales killer and is the cause of more defections from Ford than they realize. There is a long thread on this in either the Ranger or Explorer forums.
My reman'd '98 unit was flaring 1st to 2nd, and a little Justice Brothers additive helped. (shop did it, not sure if it's just their generic trans additive, or "Flare BeGone" or something....)
