Hi Guys
I have a 2004 F350 dually and have had no problems to date. This morning I went to jump in and start and nothing happened,I checked the battery and it is full charged. Has anybody had this happen?
By nothing I mean the dash lights came on and the horn works but the starter didn't turn and it didn't click like the battery was dead. I put my charger on the battery just incase but no difference. Funny thing is I used it on Sunday for a 100 mile round trip with no trouble. I haven't used it since Sunday.
This is going to sound stupid and please don't be offended, but make sure it is squarely in Park or Neutral. Sometimes they don't go all the way in and will act as you describe. A problem solenoid or starter issue will usually give the tell tale click, so "nothing" could be that simple.
My e350 van 6.8 does the same thing some times and i haven't found a solution.
I have even replaced the starter and it still occasionaly will not start.battery is good, yes it's in park. To get it going i can jump the silonoid with a screwdriver.

Hi
I finally had a chance to write back. My son cheked out the truck while I was away for the weekend, he thought it was the starter.I took it off and sure enough it was. But when I reinstaaled it ,it still didn't start,I think when they installed the remote start they put a security switch on it. I had to find the little button under the dash and turn the key on and hold the button in for 10 seconds ,then turn the switch off and then it started. Thanks for all the ideas.
