I have a chance to pick up a set of 8 brand new (Motorcraft ZD-9 glow plugs F2TZ-12A342-A) for $100 CDN. Are these the right ones for my '88 IDI. They are bullet tips. Are these the same as BERU ?
Thanks Guys, These are made in Germany. They are a private sale, still in the package (no sales tax). I checked the dealership, $19.99 each (plus 12% tax), Lordco - where I have a discount, no Beru/Motorcraft but 13.99 ea. for Bosch (plus tax). Our pals stateside always seem to get better prices than we do up here in Canada. Exchange rate and taxes I guess.
I can second all your sentiments, but in my case the dealership wanted $24 each. I tried the bosch plugs and they died after a couple of weeks. Had a bad controller at the time, so that might have contributed.
Sadly its rare that you can find prices comparable in canada for anything even after you factor in exchange and tax. There are some rare exceptions though.
