Floor board repair

I still need to pull back the carpet the PO put in to see what I have, but I know from looking underneath the floor where it angle up for the flat area to the firewall on the driver's side needs fixed. I have not seen anyone carrying a replacement panel for that area. My question is what have some of you that has repaired this area done?

You can find 66 floor pan sections and then you would cut out bad metal and use that cut section to overlay the new metal to trace out what you need before trimming.

I put this in the wrong spot. Can a moderator move it to 48-61 or do I need to repost it? I reposted in the 48-61 so if a moderater could delete this post I would appreciate it.

Not sure what's available for the earlier model Ford pickups, particulary with regards to the panel you are referring to. I would assume Dennis Carpenter would have them, would have to call to confirm because can't tell from the description in catalog and knuckle heads don't display any pic's. Also, post link to Sacramento Vintage Ford, I have not purchased from them but understand they have many of the hard to come-by sheet metal. Finally, if all else fails, suggest taking a templet to a weld and sheet metal shop and buy some 18 gage stock, they should be able to use their breaker and make any necessary bends. Just for info purposes, posting link on 'installing floor pan' article, if were to add any comment not sure I would use a die grinder for critical cuts.
