I accidently put this in the wrong place under 61-66. So I am reposting here
I still need to pull back the carpet the PO put in to see what I have, but I know from looking underneath the floor where it angle up for the flat area to the firewall on the driver's side needs fixed. I have not seen anyone carrying a replacement panel for that area. My question is what have some of you that has repaired this area done? <!-- / message --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig --><!-- END TEMPLATE: ad_showthread_firstpost_sig -->
Midfifty sells firewall halves that include the floor section you are talking about, they are about $ 120 a side. You could easily make a patch panel yourself, start by making a cardboard template. You drill holes and plug weld at the seam area. It's not an area that is very noticable unless you're crawling underneath. I replaced a section on my panel that I made myself, I didn't have a metal brake at the time and just hammered a 90% bend on the edge of my work bench. It was a fairly easy fix.
Pappy, take a look in my gallery and let me know if you have more questions. I Was able to buy another cab that was smashed in the roof. I was able to take what i needed. I did buy front cab corners from Mid Fifty.
