I've got an 04 6.0 PSD - this past sunday I started the truck and noticed a pretty decent size puddle of coolant on the ground - it was on the passenger side and appeared to be coming from somewhere near the firewall.. I really couldn't see the exact leak point, but I could see the trail on the transmission.. Is there something near the firewall that could be leaking like a hose or something.. When it leaked - it did it right at start-up and then not a drop after that. If sat in the driveway overnight and not a drop on the ground... Sorry for rambling...
The coolant bottle looked dry.. Later that day I was pulling my 5er and when I'd get to a hill I could smell coolant - but when I got home the bottle still looked dry and wasn't crusty. I've got the level between min and max. I'm running it with the egr unplugged if that makes any difference.
You may be leaking from the little rubber hose connector on the egr cooler. Climb up on top of your motor get close to the turbo and look down into the valley of the motor just in front of the turbo. The egr cooler is on the left side of the valley and if you have an old hose it will be orange or blue if it's a newer one. Use a flashlight to shine down in the valley and see if there is coolant visible.

Jmaskew/Stroked out - appears the egr cooler hose may be the culprit. There was no fresh fluid, but it did look like it was recently wet (hasn't leaked since Sunday morning).. I'll have to wait until it leaks again to be 100% sure - but I think you hit the nail on the head.. That hose looks like it could be a bear to get out of there - any hints on replacing that thing? Thanks for the help fellas.. Love the site already!!
