Does anyone who owns a crew cab have the back seat that can fold flat? Did it come that way or did you modify it? If you do have one could you measure the area between the front seats and Rear of the cab and also cross wise. My wife shows great danes and we are trying to figure out if 2 danes and a shephard mix could fit in there with the seat flat. Thanks in advance
My early '03 has the solid seat. I think when the 6.0L started is when they put the pull-out tray that comes out from under the seat. IIRC in '05 with the redesign is when they started the folding seat in the back.
Yeah my 02 only has the back support fold forward, but the seat doesn't fold flat. Same goes for my parent's 03.
Curtis I am actually looking at an 02, would you be willing just to measure the space behind the front seats of your truck so I can at least get an idea if I find a way to get the seat to lay flat. I had a bookmark from another thread that someone sells the flat seat for like $900.00 for a 99-03 cc, I just can't find it.. Thanks
I know there were some aftermarket seats available that slide forward making seat back horizontal creating a bed of sorts. I'll dig thru my old bookmarks and post a link if I find it.
Be sure if you modify your stock stuff that in the event of a bad crash you are not injured by seats and their occupants flying around cab!!

Ok - from the back of the front seat to the front of the back seat, 26" at chest level and 60" wide from arm rest to arm rest.
This is with the front seats in the middle positions. Hope this helps.

I just noticed that he wanted me to measure. Sorry I didn't see that part. Thanks for doing this for me, I've been laid up all day today after throwing my back out.
I called Tom earlier today and took some measurements for him.

I know the feeling. I just about jacked mine up again today as I pulled my entire exhaust down from the DP back. Let me tell you it does not come out and go back on as easy the second time around as it does the first/new install. (I did this because the exhaust had moved/shifted so much over the years that it was hitting the tranny pan. I also wanted to turn my muffler around to see if that changes the sound.)
That was the first half of the day. Then back to the house and fixing some shoddy carpentry work. Now I am a hurting unit and have two days left to get that buttoned back up. Of course this is all work to be done on ladders.
