CD player/radio interchange/compatibility

CD player/radio interchange/compatibility
My 6 cd changer in my 02 ranger is numbered 1C3F-18C815-AB (CD player is shot). I see several for sale that have different beginning and ending numbers/letters. Will any of these work if they have the same middle number and have what appears to be the same harness hookup? Thanks

Looking at a decoder I found on google, the middle set is the part number and the last two are the revision or design change. The first set are the year and model. If I were you, I would look for a 2003-4 6 disc changer because they have the CD-DJ feature so if you wanted to add an input later, you will be set.
