Starting / running issue

I recently installed a new fuel pump in my 89 350. The problem now is that the truck starts up but it doesnt stay running. It will idle for about 4 seconds then just die out. If I hit the gas it just revs up and then dies out. A long time ago the truck had an issue with the accelerator pump. Could this possibly be the issue again? I was told it could be the distributor. Suggestions? Thanks

Im pretty sure it is FI because it says EFI right on top of the engine. So what could the issue be? it was suggested to me that it could be the distribuer but when i check the fuel pressure ontop of the engine in comes out slow I was also told that it should have squirted out not just slowly came out.

Rent a guage from a parts store or hit up harbor freight. its similar to checking tire pressure but the hose screws on like a valvestem cap.
