Hi, If you just want to take it out you could cut the gasket just slide a sheetrock (utility) knife up between the gasket and the window and go to town if you want to save the gasket you have to take it out from inside the truck. Use two small screw drivers pry the gasket down and push gently out on the window keep working the screw drivers around the window until you get the top and sides out then go in the bed of the truck and lift the window out of the bottom track. Hi, thats why my first suggestion was to just cut it but if for some reason he needs the gasket I have changed them and if you clean them real good you can get them in without a leak unless the gasket is brittle. John
I agree. New seal is the way to go. As far as putting the window back in another truck......Take your new rubber seal, and install the metal trim first (if your truck has this). Next, you want to place the seal around the glass. wrap a piece of thin cord around the outside of the seal (in the groove). Have the two ends meet at the bottom, but leave a little extra past where they meet. Now you are ready to install. You will need a friend to help you. While your friend holds the window from the outside, go inside and set the bottom, and one bottom corner into place. Pull the cord towards the corner that is not set. this will pull the inner rubber into place. Push the window over toward the corner that is already set, and work the other corner in. Repeat pulling the cord and working each side in. Once bottom and sides are in, push the window down as far as it will go, then pull the cord to work in the top. I usually use weatherstrip sealant/adhesive, but I don't know if it is a necessity. I know this post is long, but I hope it helps you. Good luck.

thinners rubbed into rubber with a rag
clean them so to speak also softens the
rubber to turn a crappy lookin rubber seal
into a good one providing as already
mentioned it is not cracked.
remember an origanal ford seal is always
better than aftermarket
p.s be carfull with strong metal objects
ang glass cause it can chip or worse.
usually if the window seal is rubber on both sides
u push it out from inside with your feet as you fold the seal
back get a mate on the other side to hold it as it comes out
if you want to save the seal.
