I'll preface this by saying that my abs light has been on solid for the past month. I changed out the vss on the rear axle to no avail. I think it is electrical problems. The truck also has to failed injectos, that should be replaced sometime next week.
3 days ago I start my truck and notice no display on the digital display for my DP Tuner. I have unplugged the chip(while the truck is off) and unplugged both connectors on the chip and display and re-installed everything, but no digital display.
I do notice that when I start the truck there is one pixel in the lower right hand corner that illuminates but then goes dead.
So is the chip dead? has anyone else experianced this? or is this my truck failing in some electrical way?
Does it run fine without the chip installed? Does the chip no longer work when it is installed? How long have you had it and if it ran fine before, what has changed?
I got the chip around Nov. of last year. It has worked fine until a couple of days ago. The truck started and ran fine with it still installed(the truck is noticebly slower)but everything works It's like the complete chip just is dead. The digital display doesn't come on and you can't select any programs.
Nothing has changed with the truck, well beside the abs light problem and the 2 dead injectors
Do all of the usaul harness checks to eliminate the dead injectors. If the chip makes no difference, contact DP, but I think you need to check your harness clips and wiring.
See if that helps to bring the switch back to life.

the controller needs to light up before he can do this..I would call Jody Monday or email him and Diane in hopes they will respond..could be the chip started to work its way out of the PCM ..what makes you think you need a new injector??
Wow, didn't know that. My head must be up some posterior location. Is he doing live tuning?
Not live tuning. Jody took time out of his busy schedule to fly all the way to Denver and attend Kirk Beck's funeral services. That really shows the quality of character that Jody has for his customers and friends. It was good to see Jody again. I just wish it was under better circumstances.
