If there is a small dot in the bottom right corner of the display then it is in Pos. 0.

Do you have no-start in pos. 0?

follow these instructions to get it back to switch on the fly mode.

Remember to NEVER pull the chip out with the keys in the ignition. It will damage the chip and or the PCM.

Email me with any more questions. I'll be out of office most of the day today.

This worked Diane. I didn't think anything was happening because the display was still dead initially but I kept on with faith and everything is back to normal.
Thank you so much again.
Also as an aside.
I was at Gillet diesel a well know diesel shop here in Utah and a couple of Ford guys called asking about chips. Now Rich the owner likes to push Edge products frequently but he brought up DP Tuner and had nothing but incredible things to say about Jody personally and the tunes he writes. This is a true testament for me. Along with this customer service it restores my hope in small businesses

As for the injectors I had codes pulled this week and found out that I need to replace injector #3 & 8. This is what was told to me by Gillet diesel. They have told me that #8 was out for about 2 months now and the truck is riding a little rough.
I'm all ears if ya'll think that it is something else

Bubba: question for you, do you know if you have the recall of the CPS in the truck? I could be totally wrong but don't the gray colored recall replacement CPS's have a way of causing injector issues of some sort?

Thank you Curtis. We had obligations with our kids the weekend of Marks memorial that required us to be in opposite directions or we would have been able to make it. When we receive the news of Kirks disappearance it was heartbreaking. The outcome was devastating and I told Jody under no circumstances was he missing his memorial. Having 2 friends leave us in one week has been rough.

Chris,

Jody will be back to CO, you can bet on that. We have plans to return in June for live tuning, but some replanning of what kind of event it will be may be different then in the past.

Keep an eye on the forums events sections for the details.

As Chris mentioned, it could be caused by the CPS if you have done the recall or replaced the original black one with a grey one. The grey recall CPS in many cases causes phantom cylinder contribution codes, especially on #3 and #8 cylinders. First thing most shops want to do is replace injectors. If you have a grey CPS, replace it with a black one and re-test. It's much cheaper than buying new injectors, throwing them in, and still having the truck fail the CCT again and again.

You had me scratching my head on this one. I thought I'd posted the same link Diane did, just below your post.

I see what I did wrong now.

I had several windows open leading to DP-Tuners site, trying to figure out which one might help the guy. I cut and pasted the wrong one. I meant to use the same one Diane posted.

I did have the recall done and it was with the grey cps I believe.
I will replace it with the blcak one. Where is the cheapest place to find one?
Also what about the blue cps?

I just had Ford do the CPS recall on my truck.... where is it located? I'm trying to determine if I have one of these grey ones that like to screw up my truck? What's the story with them giving bad replacement CPS? not sure I'm getting the picture here in regards to what's really going on with the CPS....

sorry guys.

the black one no longer exist...blue is good for a stock truck..but not with a DP tuner..Jody does his tuning with the black or gray in place

I just ordered a black CPS from Clay at Riff Raff Performance or you can see if DP Tuner has any., My trucks been running a bit rough since the recall, we'll see how this change out works, got the gray recall CPS in now.
