When I changed my up-pipes, I had the turbo off. It can be done without removing the turbo, but it would be a PITA. Why are you asking this, are they leaking?
Start swearing now, and get practicing. You do whats necesary, and pull the turbo, then start swearing. Now you attempt to unbolt them from the manifolds, this is were you need the best swearing, save it for here. I ended up getting one or two, and cutting another one while holding the fender liner back, and weasiling a sawzall in were it shouldnt be, and almost cutting things it shouldnt. Keep swearing, thats an important step. Dont let it know your contemplating giving up yet. Once you get those off, you need to take one side off the babies but (collector up top) fortunately my one side was soo lose that it slid out, no loosening required. Installation is much simpler, I dont recall any swearing required. Loosely install everything, except the babies but, then bolt the turbo in, then tighten to the manifolds. I think thats how I did the re install. If you are seeing tranny work in your future, you might cut out some of the swearing, and do the up pipes then, other wise, like I said, start swearing now! haha hope that helps some.

yep they are leaking. i could fix them but from what i read it will just happen again unless i get some bellowed up pipes. i was getting a ccv mod from Riffraff so i asked him about up pipes so i figured i would do them both at the same time. what are you thoughts. is it hard to remove the turbo. i have never done that before. will i need any O rings or gaskets???
Soak clamps with PB Blaster in advance of removal. Do this for a few days before you do the removal, then spray them again. You may have tap the clamps with a punch or screwdriver to open them up. Once you get the downpipe and baby's butt clamps off, the turbo removal is pretty much a down hill thing. Don't worry about breaking any bolts when you are taking off the uppipes. You will be replacing everything and the bolts are included in the kit.
what do you mean by baby's, where and what are you refering to?
The babys but, is the collector right were it goes into the turbo
LOL I was kinda hoping by now, some of the others who have done up pipes would have seen the humour in what I said, maybe yall thought I was serious LOL
Here is the link to Curtis's (Pocket) bellowed up-pipe install CLICK HERE
It sure helped me on my install.
Edit: I saved some time using a sawzall on the old up-pipes.
I'm about to do my up-pipes this weekend, and I am thinking about taking my sawzall to the old pipes as well. I've read Curtis's that write-up a few times now as well.
