Does anybody know of some real real good rust killer.I'm tring to kill the rust on my fram(it's not real bad).I dont won't to have to take it and get it blasted
p.o.r.15 (Paint over rust) I used it on my frame and it seemed to do a good job. It will look grate when first painted, but if you leave in in direct sunlight it will turn a gray/white, so you have to paint over it once it is dry.
2nd POR-15 and Rustoleum, I've used both with good results. The rustoleum is easier to use but not at durable as POR-15 (and the hammered metal finish looks really cool). POR is the toughest stuff I've ever encountered, but it's a real PITA to use. If you want quick and easy and reasonably durable, I'd use a wire brush to get any loose flaky rust off and then spray bomb it with rustoleum.
Personnally if you want to do it right I would sand it down and then use something like por 15 then paint it then use an undercoat spray. Thats what I did.

Make sure you don't sand the rust off or the por won't stick - it bonds with the rust, if you sand it all off you need to then either let it rust over or treat the surface with another product before putting the POR on. The best way to apply it is to remove loose rust and grime and then apply to the rusted area.
