help how to remove rust bleed down trails

Hi I just bought a 79 pickup that has some sporadic rust spots around the body.The real ugliness comes from rust trails that have blead down with gravity from the rust spots.Are there any easy ways to remove the rust trails after I fix the spots.My paints old and oxidised Thanks

I appreciate the heads up on the other thread,I don't know how you feel Random.But they don't really answer mine or part of your questions.Since the rust bleed trails are staining the metal or paint,but theres no rust under them.There coming from confirmed rust spots above them.I was wondering if them could be rubbed or buffed out ??
