When I had a smog test they said this was not a CA truck so I was wondering, And would like to get the right color to repaint the bed.Other then that just like all info I could get on this truck.

mesureing between the heads is from what I can tell is right at 12" the thernastate in the block and the valve cover bolts are stagerd.Read some where diffrents between M AND C This motor was installed by FORD 3YRS ago.

The only other plate is on the door itself.It is about 1" wide and maybe 3" long

on the left side bottom line its a gross wieght on the right side there is a DSO,But no nubers beside it. The number closes to it is 1977-76.Stright above "DSO" is a number 38 with a letter J.Hope that is what we are looking for
It looks like rivets or screws were take off the tag but it is not bent or messed up. Don't know whats going on with that.

DSO code 76 is Denver.
This isn't a California truck.
It was my understanding that ONLY California based trucks (those originally built for CA) had to have the proper equipment .
Why would a 49 state truck have to convert ?
