I know... there are probably 200 other posts here with a similar title. But I had to let every one know that I found a very easy, and seemingly safe, way to adjust the TV Cable on an AOD. This is the link to a Youtube Video from some Ford Training guy. It took me all of 3 minutes and a test drive and it improved the shift 100%. Just a precaution though, it is very easy to get out of control with this and burn up the trans! I performed the adjsutment and test drove, paying attention to shift feel and rpm. Hope this is as helpful to others as it was for me!
Is the TV cable the kick down? If so, my 95 must have an electronic kick down.
Mine has one that is just for the throttle and one for the cruise control. It also doesn't have the same type of tab on it that was shown in the video.
True, the AOD utilized the TV cable shift control while older autos like the C6 were vacuum modulated and later units like the E4OD were fully electronic.
