Recent mods and problems

I have been working on my truck alot lately and got alot of mods done and out of the way. Mods and maintenance completed are 1- foil delete 2- EBPV and Pedestal gutted 3- CCV Mod 4- Pedestal O rings 5- Up pipe donuts changed. After putting my truck together I have a couple problems. 1- not making much boost 2- seems to be more blowby than before (is this CCV gone bad?) 3- anytime I make more than 4-5 lbs boost I get a weird moaning noise. I think I know the solution to all problems except number 2 but thought I would put it on here and see WHAT YOu GUYS HAD TO SAY. PS I pulled codes last night and there was p1670 But it hasnt come back after clearing it.

Yea, I definitely think that is my problem, isnt there a simple way to build a leak detector or something on here? I cant find it anywhere.

First place I'd start is at the baby's butt on the back of the turbo. Not an easy piece to get lined back up correctly. Reach around back there with the engine running, but cold. If it missaligned it should be obvious.

So an update on my fiasco. I believe that the CCV mod was pressurizing my crank case. I say this because I had alot of blowby when I had the mod installed. After I returned it to stock I have very minimal blowby (I dont really know what this means or if it matters but it makes me feel better). The moaning noise I believe is the turbo impeller barely scraping the housing, I checked the shaft for play and it has some up and down but no in and out. Does my turbo need to be rebuilt or should I look elsewhere for the noise?

Thanks

If the wheel is rubbing, you'll be able to tell by looking at it. Some up and down play is normal as long as the wheel does not hit the housing. Still having the boost issues?

Yes, I am still having low boost, I think I must not have the y pipe lined up just right with the turbo or possibly not sitting atop of the up pipes correctly. Is there a certain way that the y pipe should fit to the up pipes or just puttem up ther and tighten them down to the collector?

The collector (y-pipe) mates to the turbo in a particualr way. There is an allignment tit on the collector that alligns/fits into a recision on the turbo flange (might be the other way around, but it is there). Bellowed up pipes will make the job much easier. Haven't done the job w/o bellowed pipes but I recall it requires a lot of aligning/tightening itterations. Not a simple trick.
