Today went looking for parts in a junk yard that is few miles from .
to my surprise they had this nice looking 7.3 L engine on a stand. I asked the owner , he said just pulled ity out of truck . it looks like real nice clean engine it is all painted black . No leak on the valve cover or the head gasket or any where nor rust on the manifold. I want to make an offer what do guys estimated to be worth.
Looking to pay about 750 with the whole thing complete , starter , IP pump , lines PS pump, even an extra oil cooler . The guy said it had broken injector when they pulled it out.

I'd check the oil for sighns of coolant in it. It might have been pulled for a reason other than a "broken" injector.
I'd worry if the ejector was broken too, is there a piece of it in the engine?

One note if there is any coolant in the oil it will not show up on the dipstick unless there is a lot say more than a gallon it willseperate from the oil and be on the bottom raising the oil level on the dipstick.

The injectors were pulled out of it when I saw it . none were broken inside becuase I saw all the holes for the injectors. They took the pump off it to keep it at the owner house so it does not get destroyed.
will go back annd take a closer look,check out the dipstick , even I can probably drain the oil out . just from what i saw , it appear clean , even the guy said it started real nice on cold days no ether .
