What product would you suggest one use to "paint" or coat the interior cab floor of a wimbeldon white 74 F100? The original floor is black. The floor will be covered by a mat and/or carpet of some type but I am mostly concerned about appropriately coating the metal flooring. Thanks.
Hate to be repeating myself, but I think the best way to go is with POR-15.... We've used it on our '41 and have talked to and heard from many people that have been using it for years. It's a rust preventive, tough, flexible and durable paint. Read through the various threads in this forum and you'll see that I'm not the only one sold on this stuff.
I painted the top side and underside of my Bronco floor pans with it (POR-15), and so far couldn't be happier. While it was still tacky, I fogged it over with Rust Oleum Rusty Metal Primer (a good quality, high solids primer), and top-coated over that.
We've always got it at one of the vendors at the larger classic/hot rod car shows, but you can also find it online. Just type in POR-15 and you'll find alot of diff. sites. If you look around enough through the various sites, you'll probably find a dealer near you, or at least one that goes to shows in your area or state. One thing I have noticed is that the price is the same whether you get it online or at the show (other than the shipping of course). The folks we get ours from at the Daytona & Weston shows, said that if we called, they could give us a good discount on the shipping.
