fender flares

Hi: Does anyone know where you can find fender flares for a 1985 F150 in Canada? I was thinking of putting some on to cover up rust on my fenders. This would hold up until I can afford to do it proper.

The fender flares will only promote the rust you have!!!! Covering it will do nothing but hide it for a short (very short) time giving the rust a chance to spread further.

Consider replacing the fenders which is actually a very quick job on the front and using wheel arch repair panels on the rear.

Sorry I sound so negative however to cover the rust is just more costly in the long run. Swallow your pride and drive around with primer spots and repair panels for a short time. At least you will have a truck to drive and hopefully more "real" metal left to work with when you have the proper time and funds.

Hey fender flairs are expensive!

good luck... Bob

Thanks for the info, I thought I could get flares fairly cheap for now but if they are that costly then it is not worth it.
