Its rained alot here lately and I was driving at night and for some reason didn't see this lake of a puddle (clogged storm drain) and I hit it going fairly quickly. It looked cool as hell with water flying everywhere, but right afterwards my truck felt like it was missing. I thought mabye I got some water under the cops? Its not a consistant thing, it seems to come and go and when it does it, its mostly at idle and when I'm accelerating, not when maintaining a consistant speed. Suggestions?
Thanks for responding. I think your right that, thats a good place to start from. I was just thinking if water was messing with a COP it would be more consistent.
To add to that.... Most of the time, water in the plug well is dirty, even if the water evaportaes, the "nastys" that were in the water will remain. With that being said, the nastys can create a High resistance short to ground, thereby making the plug misfire. This will (most of the time) be sporadic, and very hard to track down. Clean the plug insulators, and use some dielectric grease when you put the boots back on. This will seal the moisture out in future "water sports".....
Thanks for the responses guys, the harsh shake has gone away, but my truck is running rougher. I'm thinking the water evaporated and these nasties you speak of are still in there. Will have to get in there soon and clean it out... again Stupid puddle wasn't worth it...
