I solder everything. The method I use you will find alot done by many automotive manufactures from the factory. I challenge you to show me ONE barrel connector on any vehicle from the factory.

It sounds very interesting. Really. At first I invisioned a wire nut kind of twist tie. But I think you are describing a splice similar too a cable splice, the braiding of two ends too continue ones length. Wish there was a way too see this done. Guess mine is the lazy mans way. ha ha...I will have too try and see if I can acomplish this. Sometimes I am like a bear cub with mittens on.. ha ha.Thanks for the explanation.

I will try to see if I can borrow my girl friends video camera tommorrow and take a video, she is being a bit*h and wont let me tonight. When I first started at the shop I worked at I didnt know how to do it like that and got made fun of untill the other guys showed me how.

Yeah, please, when ya get a chance, post a pre-solder and post-solder pic.
If it looks cleaner than my (proven for me) method, I'll use it when I can or need to.

That would be really great!!!! Tell her I will forever be in her debt.. always looking for a better way...
