All four of mine are steel ring reinforced.

I think it was a 99' thing because all of mine are also. Well, were till last week when I took them all off to powdercoat the tubes and replace the boots

I just checked mine. The two attached to the I/C have the steel ring on them just like the one in Dan's bottom picture. The ones up top do not.

dieselsite boots hold these pipes rock solid..you cant move them at all..no body has ever said anything about having trouble with them not being bellowed..im sure the silicone is not as stiff as what Bob has...
