i've been looking for several weeks for my 2009 f150, my dealer found 2 that has what i'm looking for. either a supercab xlt or a regular cab xlt, both have the 5.4 engine, i really dont need a supercab, really just want a regular cab with short bed. the price for the reg cab is 26099 dollars and it comes with a lot of extra goodies, the price for the supercab is 27900 dollars and its just a basic xlt no options. its a tuff choice, i'm going to pick it out monday, both are dark blue pearl metalic, either one will look good. his prices beat everybody elses that i've tried. i'll p;ost pics when i get it, it will take a few days to get it to his dealership from another dealership on the east coast. shelor ford christiansburg va.
I would have to know what the MSRP of the trucks are to give you an opinion on the deal. I would consider 20% of MSRP a workable deal.
i'm not asking for oppinions about the deal, just stating that this dealer is by far thousands cheaper than anybody else in a 150 mile radius. both tucks are listed at above 30 plus grand.
I could have gotten a scab or a screw but I went for the regular cab w/long box. I found that when I had a Dodge Quad cab 99% of the time the back seats were full of stuff (trash/ropes/tools), stuff that should have either been thrown out or placed in the tool box. With the regular cab I am forced to keep up my house cleaning. Also I found that 99% of the time it was just me in the truck or Wendy riding shotgun, no wild off to the party crew so I didn't need the extra room and length. I would go for the goodies. Chris

The dark blue pearl is by far my favorite color choice this year. I've owned reg cab Fords since 1984, I'm getting an Scab next time with the 6.5' box or an Scab SD with the 6 3/4' box.
If you have a wife and kids and this is your only vehicle, I'd get the supercab. However, I have the regular cab with a long bed and I really like it. I posted pics of it yesterday.
Seems to me the regular cabs are bigger than they used to be.

If you don't need the cab space, I would go with the regular cab and the extras. Especially if you plan to keep the truck a while. It's easy to spend time in vehicle that has what you want in it.
On the other hand, if you do or will need the space, the super cab is the most important "extra" you can get. You and your three best friends won't be driving your truck anywhere long distance. A wife and two small ones means you're driving her car.

That's what color my f-150 is and I absolutely love it.

That's a decent deal. Glad you found what you were looking for. Although One of the local dealers here has a Supercab Fx4, everything on it but Nav and moon roof for 28,999 (with x-plan)
i got my truck today, that 5.4 was well worth the wait. its a real powerhouse. to many virginia troopers on the road todat to really try it out but it has more power than i could ask for, handles very nice, just love this truck. will post pics later, time to go riding. put 290 miles on it already.
