Do any of you have any experience with it? my grandpas friend who is going to paint my truck, and he has been a professional since they ground up berries to make paint (just kidding). he really knows his stuff and says emron is about the best paint out there. he puts it on all his planes and cars, says it'll last forever and look good doing it. He also said its a little pricey, but hey, hes painting it for free, why not get the good stuff? its a single stage paint, no clearcoat.
Great paint, very bad for you and the enviroment, we haven't used that in while. I'm sure he knows that breathing that stuff is very bad for your respitory system.
I think it it's recommended to use a fresh air system when shooting it.
But like I said great results, and will hold up very good.
Imron (right way ) paint is fantastic but there are slight drawbacks. If you are ever in need to re-paint a quarter panel or door it is tough to match. If you were able to ball up the paint it would bounce like a super ball.
Most heavy duty items are painted with it as well as planes.
I painted our local fire truck with the white Imron several years ago and it still looks great after hard use through the brush. The paint is hard to apply without some orange peel. Use a simple color as white and the advice about respirators is VERY important.
