Anti-US? How? See that's my point, if you make a statement, explain yourself.

Frankly, the influx of illegal Mexican aliens, outsourcing of US jobs and services to Mexico, and the general coddling and babysitting of mexico by BIG DADDY U.S.A. has done more to bring down America (and the American taxpayer) more than a company like CITGO ever has.

Here Ed read for yourself snopes.com: Citgo Boycott/Buycott

Also I'm sorry you live in a state that looks the other way with illegal Mexican's but when we have a person like Chavez publicly bashing the U.S.A. we don't need to support him.

That's my .02

Fact is, there are three American-owned companies that offer comparable yet superior products (Chevron Delo, Mobil Devac, ConocoPhillips/Motorcraft SD).

So why needlessly support CITGO?

I read the article as supplied from Steve (sddesigns) and did not realize the majority of what was stated there. Chavez can kiss my a**, and I will be informing my maintenance mgr at work (who orders maintenace lubricants, parts ect. ) for the truck fleet not to support Chavez or CITGO.

By no means was I undermining American companies such as Chevron, Mobil, ConocoPhillips ect. I use and have used many of their products over the years.

Yes, it is a shame many of our California elected "officials" and useless two US Senators, ignore the problem here of illegal Mexican aliens. However, I am only one vote (vote against those who do nothing at every election) and I can assure you many working stiff Californians are completely against those who break our immigration laws, disrespect the USA as a whole, and those lackeys who live in California for 30 years and speak no English. Those lawbreakers do not speak for ALL Californians.

No I am not having trouble with Delo 400. Some of the time I cannot plug in in cold weather and think maybe for that reason synthetic would be better.
Thank you to all who have replied

I don't believe any M1 product uses a Group V POE base stock. M1 is gung-ho about their Group IV PAO's (and Group IIIs by and large over the last 3-4 years).

I would go with Delvac 1 over M1 TDT if you're determined to go with a Mobil product.

The whole mentioning of Citgo made me remember something I received in an Email about 6 months ago. Don't want to start any wars, but here is what I received from a friend. I took the original content of the Email and copied it to my MS Word file. Here is the pasted copy of that:

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell.......................... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.........144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil..............130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway..117,740,000 barrels
Amoco..........................62,231,000 barrels

Citgo Gas comes from South America , from a Dictator who hates Americans.

Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (Oil is now $90-$95 a barrel)

Here are some large companies that
DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco................ 0 barrels
Conoco................ 0 barrels
Sinclair................ 0 barrels
BP/Phillips.......... 0 barrels
Hess.................... 0 barrels
ARC0................... 0 barrels

All the environmentalists have effectively stalled any future oil production on the Norht Slope of Alaska. All of these companies above are producing oil on the slope from the original forty year old fields in the Pruhoe Bay Fields and elsewhere in the USA. They will run out, so when gas hits $5 bucks a gallon again because of the OPEC price gouging, be sure to ask your legislatures why they voted against ANWR production.

Most M1 products are Group III now, with their 0W-40 being one of the few exceptions.

Rotella 5w40 no matter what the weather... its worth the extra couple bucks to go synthetic.

I dont believe Chavez is anti-US as much as anti-bush. If you dig deep into the history of the dispute, its a little more than politics. But none of it matters anyway, nuthin any of us can do about any of it.

On the other hand, Citgo stations suck and are nasty inside and out.... reason enough for me.
