Anyone ever made a Cross Connect Kit? I have to go to the hydralics store tomarrow and was going to have them make me one if it is possible. If so what do I need. Thanks.
The main thing is to make sure they have the correct hose. It is a Parker, fire retardant, silicone hose, other than the hose you will need a couple of bosses and 90s, and a Tee and orifice..... Unfortunatley I cant rmember all the sizes of said parts, so I am not much help.
everything you need is listed here..this is for the full RR kit..stock fuel gets returned on the driver side rear of head..the passenger is returned on the front of the head...fallow the part# in the diagram and it will tell you exactly what you need ..if you don't use a regulator you will need a T instead..good luck..
If you use the tee, you have to have an orifice of some kind to restrict the flow -- otherwise you'll lose too much fuel pressure in the heads. That's the difference in the full RR vs. the CCK. You get all the benefits of the RR, but you have to play with the orifice size and FPR to adjust pressure. I don't think you really have to mess with the orifice size, just the FPR. I have the CCK, but my next step is to play with shimming the FPR to adjust my pressure. In fact, I think I'll see if I can get the parts for my pressure gauge here locally today.
Oh, and the flow is NOT reversed on one of the heads with the CCK like it is with the RR. You simply remove the plugs, screw in the adapters, attach the hoses, and route them to the orifice & tee that goes into the stock return line.
I used these 2 fittings(1/4" JIC and 1/8 NPT) for the tee with orifice:

I tapped the JIC to pipe fitting, with the proper screw thread size, to install a carb emulsion jet for the orifice. I used a "drill your own" sized jet. It already had a small orifice in it. IIRC, it was around .018". I'll have to verify this. I, then, screwed the fittings together to form a JIC male tee. The rest of the fittings are similar to the original CCK kit. I shimmed the FPR to around 65 psi and have had good results with running this pressure. I bought the fuel pressure test port fitting, recently, from Bob at Diesel O-Rings.Com to use my FI press gauge to check and set the pressure.
I went and picked up a hose for my fuel pressure gauge today. 34$ just for the hose with the connections on the ends. Heck for that price I'll buy the CCK.

Umm, I guess we forgot to tell you that you can get a couple of 18" grease gun hoses for about $5 from harbor freight for your FP guage. They dont have swivel ends on them but they are 1/8 NPT, rated for 3000psi, and petroleum safe.
as bad as the new fuel eats up these cheaper o rings and for the people that want to try bio fuel..will this still be good to use long turm??
i would think grease is a petroleum..but not like diesel fuel...i dont think it means fuel safe
