Ok, I tried searching for this, but either I'm blind or it's buried. If we're wagering, I'll take the former, thank you.
I'm taking a 2nd look at a truck I rejected earlier, and one of my minor issues with it is how badly the bed's chewed up. I'm not expecting pristine here, but I do take pride in my vehicles. So are there any issues to putting a spray-in bedliner (rhino, etc) into a bed that's already scratched up?
Now for the weird question! The pads are missing on both the clutch and brake pedals of this ride. Normally, I wouldn't consider this a big deal - but I drive barefoot. A LOT! Yes, even in CO winters (I used to try to fly barefoot, but that dam raised metal "tread" Cessna put on the rudder pedals got to me). Anywho... is it possible to "re-pad" the pedals w/o replacing the whole assy?
For the bed liner, they actually take a scotch brite pad to it or maybe even some sand paper to ruff up the surface do that the bedliner will adhere to the surface.
When I bought my truck,an '01, it had been used by a farmer and the outside of the truck looked great for a farm truck(22 months old at the time). It had previously had a goose neck ball install with a hole in the bed and the bed had a lot of dings and scratches. I had goose neck hole welded shut and rhino liner installed. It really cleaned up the look and the dings etc. are not really noticeble. If I had it to do over I would probably use linex instead, but I do like the nonslip qualities of rhino. If you like the truck otherwise, I'd say go for it.
The liners will stick to anything. The shop that put line-x on my transfer tank said all he does is wash the surface thoroughly and spray away. He also said they fill in any big dings or scratches before spraying. If you do go with a spray in liner, go with them. The warranty on it is nation wide.

Agreed. I'm on my second truck with Line-X. Wouldn't have anything else.
They also have a new product called Line-x Renew that can be sprayed over any old liner to make it look new. Its something I'm considering to do with mine cause the one in there now (rhino?) is faded and has some chemical stains.
It all depends on the dealer. The shop near here just did one for my brother for 529. Its another 75 if you want him to go up over the bed rails and 275 if you want a color other then black. Click here for the dealer locater.
