Hello!
I am looking for these mirrors..they are universal mirrors. My truck was
in a fire and the mirrors melted off.
The truck as all fixed up now, but it has no mirrors yet.
I bought these mirrors at Central Four Wheel Drive in Kent, WA back
in the early 90's.
Does anyone have a set of these I could buy or trade for??
These mirrors were polarized..not something I really need
on a monster truck, but maybe some clue as to who made them
or where to get them.

Wow, I grew up in Renton, My Dad purchased my '76 from Scarff Ford in Auburn, Kent? I remember Central 4WD very well. Sorry, don't know about the mirrors, but do agree they look Jeepish.
1985/92 Rangers, 1985/90 Bronco II's, 1985/96 F150's & Bronco's were available with black paddle mirrors with a 4" x 6" mirror head:
E5TZ17696B .. Right Side Paddle Mirror-Black-Convex Head
E5TZ17696C .. Left Side Paddle Mirror-Black
Both these mirrors are now obsolete. A search using the Ford Dealer Parts Locator System turned up 21 left sides, 15 right sides.
Obsolete parts vendors have an additional 15 lefts, 12 rights.
I'll post the info on who has them.....if any one is interested.

1986/97 Aerostars also used these mirrors, but the base is slightly different than what the other trucks used, and there are several different styles.
1991 and later Explorers (thru at least 2002) used several different types of these mirrors.
Some are power operated, some are manual, some have a "puddle" light in them that comes on when the door is opened.
If these are the ranger ones like number says - beware that they become VERY annoying after a few years of use. The tension ball assembly thing in them wears out and when it does they will fold up closed/against the cab at freeway speeds. It takes a bit of custom work (annoying, pain in the butt custom work) to get them to stop doing this.
