Injection Pump
IP advance plunger can be fixed the pump while it is mounted
Thsi what I did today , it was stuck , just 2 hours taking off the advance lever and vacumm , then you can the nut at the bottom of the pump .
it come off with box end 1" . once it is out it easy to unstick the plunger , plus some polishing and WD and it is back like a charm
I am still having problem cold starting wit out using the block heater even in 40 deg such as today.
Still have few problem:
1- I know the glow plugs controller is suspect and sepcially now that I only have seven with one broke off in the head. that mean the controller is not staying on long enough. I watched it this AM it stayed on not even 3 sec. Not sure if that is due to missing one GP . I would like to trick it in thinking that it had 8 GP , by pluging the one and just have it lay on the side of the head. this will complete the circuit the Controller would stay on longer.
2- the other problem is fuel pressure leak down over night, it take several cranking to start seeing white puff , indication there is no fuel. I have not found the exact problem
