F250 Electrical Problem!!
This is driving me nuts!!!!!! Truck starts and runs fine, volt guage is showing it is charging, all guages are functioning. Now for the fun,,,, Man. trans,,,,Shift into any gear, and start moving and the guages all peg out, volt guage drops, speedo jumps all over the place,, come to a stop, and everything returns to normal.?? Use fan blower, wipers,lights, volt guage drops to 8-9v. Turn everything off returns to 13-14v. Whats up with this??? Been under truck, dont find anything rubbing or loose. Grabbed every wire harness looking for a short to frame, but have found nothing. Any Ideas??? I'm losing my mind

well i cant tell you much just yet for starters what year does your truck happen to be? does it do this with engine idling clutch in? does it do this with engine idling clutch in trans in a gear? or is it just when you start moving and the engine rpms change?

It does sound like a ground is very likely the culprit.
Battery main grounds go to the engine.
Several smaller grounds and ground straps then pass the ground to the frame, cab, fenders, mounting plate for the regulator and bed.
