Needed a couple of seals for my 74 Bronco the other day. Called the local FORD dealership parts guy and he said "sorry sir we can't look up anything older than 84". Now I know computers are wonderful but can't parts guy's read catalogs or micro fiesh (sp) anymore? Or is it they can't be bothered with old stuff anymore.
Bill, any chance you have a # for fuel sender to fuel tank O-ring seals that I can take to the dealership?
Thanks in advance, Mike

You are being LIED to because the parts catalogs cover 1980/89, not 1984/89..so y'all should smell a rat whatever that cluck (at Senator Ford?) tells you from now on!
The fuel sending unit's O-Ring is the same from 1957 thru 1996 and fits all the cars, Bronco's, Econolines, Rangers, Bronco II's and F100/750's except 1957 thru 1977 F100/750's with the in cab fuel tank, 1983 and later with diesel engines.
The O-Ring is still available from Ford. If you also have the auxillary tank on your Bronco-same O-Ring.

#1, knows his ###, and I always say "Hit anything hard enough it'll work, except my brother" signed not the only old man with an old truck... Pap
Sounds like my local Mack dealer. Got bought out, all new parts guys and NONE want to bother to look for ANYTHING. If they can call the part number by memory, then they go get the part. If they have to look it up? They suddenly don't carry it. Swell.
Bills the ultimate parts guy! Just another "thanks for being here"
