Dual Tank Selector Valve
My truck has been leaking some fuel out of what I can see as the Valve for the dual tanks. (I think the part number is 9K044) It's located on the frame rails on the driver side, right near the transfer case.
However, I've removed the back tank and don't need this anymore. How hard is it to bypass this device completely?
I've never really worked on fuel lines before and am not sure how hard this is but I can't afford to lose anymore fuel onto my driveway.

Thanks guys.
You might not want to cut the wiring, you may also want to remove the valve or just plainly mark it BAD and leave it. That way the system can be restored easier later if necessary.

These single function reservoirs have no moving parts to go bad so as long as they are not broken anyplace you can pick one up cheap from any salvage yard and you are good to go.
Other trucks that used them are the Bronco & BII 86-89 and any single tank f-series trucks from about 86-89.
Both the valve reservoir and the single reservoir have no electrical wires to them so you do not have to mess with wiring.
