I pulled a mid-60s Ford F250 rear bumper off of one of the trucks on my brother-in-laws farm. Just had to drill a couple new holes and buy a few chrome bumper bolts and it works great. Here is a picture.
Sorry about the size!!!
Also, if you need an ignition switch and door locks that match, PM me. I have a set I need to pull off of my parts truck.
If the glove box is the locking type, the round headed key is used, so not all the locks are the same.
That's odd. The '78 F150 I picked up recently had one ignition key that fits all locks including the locking glove box. The only key I don't have is for the toolbox on the passenger side.
[QUOTE=terceslil;7219885]Do you have a pic of that bumper? There is currently an ad in my local Craigslist for a 1980 bumper for $50. If it is in good condition and I like the way yours looks, I'll probably go that route.
Sorry;
I took picture yesterday and once I able to get it loaded in my gallery I'll reply back again. I don't know how to post a pic on the forum, will figure it out soon I hope. ( Not a commuter type guy)
As Number Dummy & I mention measurement is the key factor, style is according to the user.
My bumper has the step portion with the trailor ball slot in it. The one posted on ebay is hard to tell weather or not its a smooth style or has the trailor step attachement plate.
I'll try and post the pic right now.
I think I figure it out with the help of a fellow FTE memebers guideance.
Hope this work's for you; here's one of the two photo's of my recieved bumper change on my 78 F100. I place it approximatley 1 5/8" from rear of the bed and just about 1" below the mounting swivel on the tailgate hinge.
I was waiting for the 1st one to notice, Its from my buddy's house, don't want to throw it away. He change it out for his better half because of color. The rest of the stuff is the interior carpet, seat, mirrors boxes of parts etc.
Thanks for the attention to detail and the laugh as well.
I have a lot of crap in the back end of my truck right now, but you have everything including the kitchen sink.
Yeah, I noticed the "fat max" tape and the horse blanket seat cover. And the bumper
is on the level.......... Or the level is on the bumper I guess. Oh well he's got it straight anyway!
All those bumpers look good. I will see what is local. There are a couple on Craigslist. Now, to get my measurements to see which frame I have and get me a bumper!
