i feel dumber than a rock right now ,but .... what are you joints pinion yokes and things like that pics would be nice, arent you joints the ones on the drive shafts?
Ujoints are the crosses in your drivishaft the cross has a cap on each end with needle bearings in them(these wear out pretty quick if you dont keep them greased).
Your front axles on a 4x4 also has them so the wheel can be turned.
The pinion yoke is the yoke on your front and rear differential that the ujoints are in connecting it to the driveshafts. The yokes on your transfercase are called output shaft yokes.
In a 250 with the IFS front axle you have 3 U joints in the axle.
2 on the front drive shaft
2 on the rear drive shaft on regular cab trucks, 3 on extended and crew cab trucks with a two piece driveshaft which also has a carrier bearing to support the back of the first piece of the rear driveshaft.
Man you're dumb!
JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
If you ask a question and somebody thinks you're stupid for asking it kick them in the *****! That crap pi$$es me off!
NOBODY knows everything but some people THINK they do.
You will ALWAYS know something that the "other" guy doesn't so don't feel dumb for asking a question.
For instance: I know what a U-joint is but I don't know how to post a picture on the internet and obviously you do. So which one of us is "smarter"???????????
I feel the same way about asking questions I ask them all the time an feel like stupid sometimes but I needto know an when I can help by telling someone something that I know I feel better about what I know . Why do you needto know about your U joints do u need to replace one of them . Rick
the only stupid question is the one that was never asked. your not stupid no one is, every one cant no everything, some people act like they know everything but they dont lol

It used to be held at the edge of Foster Reservoir and was pretty well known as the "Mud Flat Races" but the enviro-wackos put an end to that.
Now it's help on private property kind of in a valley (last time I went anyway) between two pretty substantial hills.
You line up to get in 4 hours before it starts and your a mile down the line. It's a big deal around here. Occasionally the 4-wheeling mags. attend. It used to have a little more "organization" to it but now it's a free-for-all.
You do have to have tickets and they sell out QUICK!
We went up to Foster about 15 years ago. Played in the mud a little, but I stayed out of the big holes that would have swallowed my 36's. Had more fun watching the big trucks bury themselves. And the stock trucks that thought they were big. I remember a brand new F250 PSD, chained up on all 4, attempting one of the bigger holes and burying it over the hood. The rumor was that it was his dad's truck.
It's too bad they shut it down. I remember many issues coming up with the
4wd club that was putting it on (the club I was in was in the same region). County permits, security, safety and insurance caused a lot of headaches for it to be run on public land.
