I've got a 93 F-350 with a 351 in it and the previous owner screwed up the fuel system BAD! Apparently someone ripped out the rear tank and then it looked like someone either cut or tore off one of the braided high pressure lines and then slipped about 2 feet of rubber hose over the top of it and had 5 hose clamps on it to keep it from leaking! LOL quite the mess!
Currently I'm working on completely doing away with the lines for the 2nd tank and in the process of cutting hard lines I lost track of how they were routed. I have a pretty good idea, but wanted to make sure.
So which line is supposed to be the pressure side and which line is supposed to be the return. There's a line that comes in at the back of the engine on the driver's side and one that comes in behind the intake plenum on the passenger side. I'm thinking the one coming in the driver's side is the pressure side...
Oh and what's the deal with one of the two lines coming off of the fuel pump having double push to connect fittings? The one is built into the hose, and the other is just a real shorty. Both the front and rear were like that so I figured there had to be a reason.
The bigger of the two lines is the supply or feed line, the smaller is the return. The return line is the one that comes from the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail, which I'm thinking is the line on the driver side, but I can't remember exactly at the moment.
