I went out today to try to start, and the same thing happened, although it seemed to want to run as long as the starter was cranking. Before I started, I check the HPOP reservoir and it was about 3/4 below the top, the batts were at 12.5 volts. I turned on the key, and checked by GPR and it clicked over and I had about 11.5 volts on both terminals, I heard it click off after about a minute or so. Tried to start it, but it ran and died as soon as I let go of the key. I posted some pics to my album (and other post) on what some parts are https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ml#post7221522. The pshhh sound seems to be coming from under / near the driver side battery and sounds more like a motor starting (when not in the cab).
Thanks,
Well the problem was a worn electrical problem at the IPR solenoid connection. I replaced that, and it started right up. No problems this weekend at all. I plan on cleaning the engine compartment well, and make sure I do not have any more worn connections.
Thanks,
Jim
