I'm familiar with consumer grade OBD-II scanners but you only have one bidirectional command, clearing a CEL/SEL. So what is the reprograming for a different vehicle/engine going to cost you?
Last time I checked, it was something like $50 for a tune and $50 to unlock from the original vehicle.
I am actually going to email Torrie today to find out for sure. (Got a bonus check at work that I never expected to get)

I downloaded the manual from SCT's site but haven't read it word for word. At the site you provided above, it mentions something about going into a lock mode after doing five reprograms! I'm wondering what that it? Does that mean that you have to revert back to factory stock setting after fives times??
I'm wondering if it works at all with the new 6F35 six speed transnission in the '09 Escape too. I did the online email from SCT's site asking that same question early yesterday morning, no reply yet. Not a good sign!!
Thanks, I did this morning and for one the big one too, the SCT Xcal/3 can't control anything on the new 6F35 six speeds! Not sure if that's worth it without that control. It works with the engine just not the tranny right now and no ETA when control will be added.
