Thank you for the link Orezona, I agree. The boots are very soft and the problem just began. Replacement is needed, that should give me 7 + more years.
Brandon...Does the red and green tube in the middle of the picture below, pull out of the black rubber 90? I see how all the other disconnect. Probably change black and blue boots. They are very soft. I really appreciate the help.
Bobs boots are good quality, you can get the same thing from your local truck shop, but then you have to do all the leg work...
I have had bobs boots for about 4 years now, the one to the turbo has started to blow at about 45-47psi now... getting a little ragged, need to replace...LOL
Not saying anything is wrong with the CCV mod suggestions, just throwing out another option to the OP.
The boots are not oil resistance and the material will break down over time. There are several kits out there, but I got mine from Diesel Site as well (including the intercooler boots too, which is a separate kit). It is a PITA to work them on, but they are awesome. No more oil leaking and I don't have any more dusting issues either. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. The trick is to spray some hair spray onto the end of the CAC tube before you work the boot on so you get some wiggle to get the boot onto it and the connection. Once the CAC tube is on, the hair spray dries and you are good to go. The kit comes with some great spring clamps too.
