My buddy is a driver for WM here in Northeastern Pennsylvania after working for a small, independent refuse company. He has been with WM for about 4 years. What is your question?

I tried for a long time to get on with them in WA as a mechanic or welder, but they can be hard to get into.

My wife hired WM to pick up our trash about 3 or 4 years ago. . . and we paid for 3 months in advance (some kind of 'special' they came by, advertising).

We 'canned' a service that we'd been using for over 15 years.
(My wife said that WM was quite a bit cheaper than our previous trash company.)

WM dropped off one of their big green receptacles that day, but never came to empty it.
THREE WEEKS of trash piled up.
I called them numerous times.
I got nasty letters from my HOA, about trash being piled up.

It wasn't until I told them that I was going to load my truck with the trash and drop it off at the local office, did anyone bother to come out and pick up the trash.
The supervisor of the local WM came in a pick-up truck to pick up what he thought was a couple of bags! Ha! He had a real shock when he saw 3 weeks worth of trash.

I FIRED THEM that day.

It took me almost a YEAR to get my money back.
I had to call and write letters to several locations, including local offices and in Texas.
Everybody that I talked to, or wrote to, 'passed the buck' to someone else.
When I told them that I was writing several newspapers and contacting my lawyer, I finally got my money.

And that's all I have to say about that.

00BlueOvalRanger-

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure it would leave a bad taste in my mouth if it happened to me. I can certainly see why you would be frustrated. I've never heard of that type of thing happeneig in this area but that certainly doesn't mean that it hasn't.
