With spring fast approaching here in the north, its time to start planning whats gotta be done to what, Projects weve been putting off because of cold weather/low cash, but Springs almost here people!!! What are your truck plans for this spring? Mine are:
89 Mud Truck:
-Build my 351W, hoping to have it installed sometime midsummer.
-Paint flat black, probably tractor paint!
-Remove junk Tcase, install rebuilt one from 95
95 Daily Driver:
-Disassemble upper end to get broken emissions removed/fixed
-Remove exhaust from manifolds, remove & install new studs into manifolds, reinstall exhaust w/ new hangers. MAYBE install new tip
-Install previously rebuilt tcase, rebuild old case for use in 89
ok im gonna post and i want you guys to hold me to it LOL
well first thing is first a meeting with the damage appraiser tomorow then get all the wreck damage fixed
1)new tranny
2)instead of a new bumper im gonna build me a big *** winch bumper
3)and a winch^^^
4,5,6)get that d44 preped then swapped in along with a 6" lift and 36" tires and possibly a gear swap too but probly not right off
Get back from the body shop where it is now getting the rust fixed. Remove the bed and strip the frame down and paint it. Also paint the underside of the cab and box.
Hopefully if money permits(just got laid off) 4-6 inch lift with 35's
1. Replace driver side door hinges
2. Paint front bumper
3. New tires: 31x10.50 Goodyear SA's depending on refund check
4. Replace driver side radius arm bracket and bushing
5. Rear t-case seal
6. Flush cooling system
7. Get a new clutch kit for rear end and change fluid
8. Swap dash
9. Replace muffler
10. Clean and polish centerline alum. wheels for new tires
11. New mirrors (both sides)
There is much more but that is what i cant think of off the top of my head
1.) get my 2 new tires for my gen 1 lightning rims and get those on
2.) get a carrage works grille painted and installed
3.) put my new interior/ carpet in
4.) get a new front bumper
5.) get a cat back exhaust
6.) possibly get it painted?
this is all as money permits, in which the first 5 should definately be obtainable
1)paint and install pass door to replace my daily reminder of being tarded.
2)drop in 5.8 with OBD II, mass air
3)swap out t-case at same time to a BW 44-07
4)drive it to Phoenix where it will then reside
