Hey i have a 1979 ford that i may be having to part with but am wondering how much you guys would sell it for.
It a single owner, 180,xxx miles on 302 that was rebuilt about 70,000 miles ago. It had a frame-off restoration about 16 months ago. Original interior (the black / red like the pace trucks). 2wd. Aftermarket sound system, and new custom dual exhaust. It has new: gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, brakes (rotor, caliper, and pads), radiator, and tires.
Here are some pictures, let me know what you think. Thanks
Looks like a great truck. I wouldn't let it go for nothing, but seems it's a 2wd and todays market, you most likely won't get over $4000 for it. But, you never know.
Wow! You guys get 'em cheap down there! In my neck of the woods a frame off restored truck like that would prolly bring $6K or more.
That's the way it used to be, but seems like the past couple years, the market has dropped out on these. But, like you said, I'm sure there are still markets for these trucks just have to find the right buyer.
Around my neck of the woods, running rust buckets are starting at $1000 - $1500 now. I'm glad I grabbed mine up when I did!
There IS one for sale in the classified paper here for $900- '75 F100 longbed, 302, C4, duals...but it's more than likely eaten up.
If Sprinteck's is a rust free truck, he could probably get 3K easily for it around here. I always start on the high side when I'm selling- especially if I don't want to sell...he he he...
Besides, if nobody wants to give him that much, it would justify him hanging on to it.
Thanks guys. I was also thinking of around 3-4k especially because of it having ZERO rust. I am in st. paul, mn. The only reason that i would be willing to let it go is because i found another truck that i REALLY want and will be moving up to grand forks this summer, and well they get a lot of snow in the winter and the 2WD does not cut it.
I had it aprased last summer after the restor and it was aprased as 7200 market value (for insurance). I obviously could not get 7k for it but hopefully around 4.

Let me guess, there was way more than 7K invested. I'll be curious to see what my 77F250 4x4 appraises for after I get it complete. I know I have more than 20K invested.
His is restored; this listing is for an original. Original trucks fetch higher prices.
maybe for a collector, but not necessarily for an enthusist. Still go high and negotiate, can't go higher after listed for lower. Just list your ad as very negotiable.
Welcome to FTE, Nice looking truck, most of us on here appreciate the frame-off and the time and money spent doing it, AND the reliability of having it all done! however, it seems the bottom has really dropped out of the "Old Truck" market, many people are selling them for the extra cash, if you look around all over, show trucks that have mucho $$$ in them are on the market for a 1/4 of the price. If you can at all possible, hold on to it, I have had my 66 F-250 for sale, I would take $3700, but nobody wants to part with cold green cash right now.
Welcome, and nice looking truck!
