Im planning on putting a exhaust system on my truck soon. Im looking at the mbrp or silverline stuff. I either want to go 5 inch single...or 4 inch dual.
My question is whether it would be better to go with the cheaper aluminized stuff or pay the extra for the 409 SS.
Also does anybody have any pictures of a SRW truck with dual exhaust?
mbrp is the way to go if you ask me as far as size goes 4" will be fine 5" will move your power band up a little higher in rpm. What ever you decide do turbo back. Cat back is worthless. Sorry I don't have duals I just have the single exit so no pitchers someone will be along shortly with some pics I'm sure
I had a custom shop put a 4" turbo back aluminized in early 06 on my 05.
Runs better, cooler, looks good and zero problems with the aluminized BUT I'm in Texas NO humidity and NO salt.
i just installed an MBRP 4 inch turbo back dual exhaust on my 6.0. It was easy to install and sounds pretty good. (in cab noise is quiet). I got the aluminized since the roads dont get salted where i live, but i suppose you cold get it powdercoated if you wanted to not buy the stainless.
I love the way the tips are angled, alot different than wut other trucks around here have. Also with MBRP i recieved 2 5 inch tips for free, cant complain about that.
heres a pic, sorry its blurry.
hey I have a football helmet Im not sure my college will appreciate me ruining the paint though lol will I need the helmet anyways and not worry about messing it up
I don't get it
Why would people actually want to pay more for an aluminized exhaust system instead of installing a stainless steel exhaust system?
They wouldn't even get a 4" downpipe or 4" cat pipe hardware out of an MBRP deal.
The Magnaflow #17922 includes everything listed above, and they don't even deal with aluminized pipe for these trucks. IMO, a far better product and Magnaflow lifetime warranty for $315, delivered. (non dual tips)

the copy in the link is correct, it says it's a 4" turbo back system.
There are various configurations but I chose to go with the single side outlet pro-series and got a polished stainless tip that finished it off well.
The polished tip was extra, the kit doesn't come with one but the system is a smokin deal. At least what I ended up paying for it. The distribution center was only 300 miles away so I got it next day.
