The only thing I don't like about my truck is the turning radius. You have to be careful making u-turns under flashing red arrows. Some convenience store parking lots are night marish too.
Come on Doug, it can not be any worse than making turns and such with the fire trucks, or is it ???
That is a nice looking 250 that you guys have. What is its primary use ??
Also nice looking pole building, that is a big sucker... lol.

The truck is mostly a troop carrier. We also have a spill response trailer that is full of sta-dri, oil booms and pads that the truck will pull as well.
The 3 bay building is going to house the spill response trailer as well as an engine. We have ordered a Rosenbaurer engine. Should be here around September.
I notice you have a Chevy truck with a 330 gpm pump and it carries 300 gallons of water. So I guess a fair conclusion is that you expect the truck to work for less than a minute before it breaks down, or it would have a much larger tank!!

Tooo funny Bruce. It is all in the piping. I don't think the 3500 could pump 350 gallons a minute if it wanted to. We have spray nozzles on all four corners so we can drive around a field fire and spray water.

Yeah, it is just like our New Lexington/International that we have. It has a 1500 gpm Darley pump with a 1500 gallon tank. As Doug mentioned, it is all in the piping. With only a 3 or 4" tank to pump line, it can only supply so much water.
one of the major reasons for us going with a Rosenbaur is because one of our members is a salesman for the local distributor here.
Ahhh I see. By chance is there a nice little discount on the truck ?? I know that when we bought the two pumpers, the truck builders did not have any in the area and gave us a discount to help 'sell' future trucks.
